It was reconstructed on the basis of Antoni Kolberg's drawing. It has been open for visitors since 1960. The Drawing Room was part of the Chopins' family apartment in which Frederick spent his last years before leaving Poland. It was the place where family concerts were performed and the young composer's works were presented. The current interior of the Drawing Room consists of pieces of period furniture, selected to resemble those which were depicted by Antoni Kolberg in his drawing. One of the objects exhibited is a piano manufactured by the Erard company, an instrument which once belonged to F. Liszt.
