In July 1836 Chopin visited Marianske Lazne (Marienbad) and stayed at the "White Swan Inn" (now called by the name of Chopin).
Fryderyk Chopin Memorial Museum with all available materials commemorating Chopin´s stay in Mariánské Láznì in 1836 is also located here.
Annual Chopin Festivals and International Chopin Piano Competitions are held in Marianske Lazne.
