Sanniki is a place located near Płock, about 80 km away from Warsaw. There is a Palace erected in 1880 in the place of a former mansion house where Frederick Chopin spent his holidays with his school-mate Konstanty Pruszak in 1828.
Interiors of the palace are arranged in a way to commemorate the stay of Chopin there. There is also a concert hall for 120 persons, where the Frederick Chopin Society organises concerts and declamations of Romantic poetry. Polish and foreign pianists, as well as actors from Warsaw theatres participate in the events in Sanniki.
This place is visted by lovers of music and poetry from all over the world to get to know the culture of the region which the great composer referred to in his art. The concert season starts in February, on the anniversary of the birthday of F. Chopin, and ends in October, on the anniversary of his death. The concerts are organised every first Sunday of the month.
