The Northwest Council is an active, local chapter of the Chopin Foundation of the United States. It is dedicated to promoting Chopin's work through concerts and events performed in the Pacific Northwest: Seattle and the Eastside. The Council supports young artists and future pianists as they pursue their mastery of Frederick Chopin's work.
The Council plans to present four to six public concerts annually, featuring a variety of pianists, both emerging as well as established artists. It also plans to sponsor an annual Chopin Musical Festival for young pianists in our community as well as a Young Artist's Chopin Piano Competition.
