Valerie Tryon's distinguished career has taken her all over the world. She was one of the youngest students ever accepted into the Royal Academy of Music and won the highest award for piano and a scholarship to allow her to study in Paris with Jacques Fevrier. Her repertoire ranges from Bach to contemporary music, though she is perhaps best known for her sensitive interpretation of the Romantics.

Members get into concerts free and pay Ł5 if they wish to stay for the buffet reception. For information about membership, see Joining. Members are welcome to bring guests, but we suggest you check with us first to make sure there is room.
Guest tickets cost Ł15 (senior citizens Ł13) including the buffet reception.Student tickets for the concert cost Ł5, on production of a valid student card. We seat students at the back of the audience, where the view of the pianist may be restricted.
