Description Emotions will run high during the preliminaries for the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, which start on September 23rd at the F. Chopin Academy of Music and at the Palace of Culture and Science. 325 pianists from 45 countries will be judged by a group of distinguished Polish musicians chaired by Andrzej Jasinski. The names of around 80 pianists qualified for the 1st Stage of the Competition are to be announced on Friday, September 30th. The official launch of the Competition is scheduled for October 2nd.
