Description
The Hamamatsu International Piano Competition was founded in 1991 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Hamamatsu City. This international cultural event is held every three years, and is befitting of a city that has a history and tradition of music and musical instruments.
The Competition strives to encourage the development of international music culture, to promote international cultural exchange, to nurture young pianists and to provide an opportunity for these promising young pianists to display the results of their hard work.
