Description National Polish Frederick Chopin Piano Competitions have been held at Ostrogski Castle in Warsaw ever since 1968. The purpose of the Competition includes the promotion of young Polish pianists.
The Jury consists of the most eminent pianists and pedagogues representing all Academies of Music in Poland.
Program Five pianists have made it to the finals of the Competition.
On Friday, December 1st, three pianists will perform with an orchestra:
FERES MAREK BASMADJI 20 year old student of the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk will play Mozart's Piano Concerto in c minor (KV 491)
MICHAŁ KRYWORUCZKO (born in 1989) - student of a School of Music in Katowice will play Mozart's Piano Concerto in B flat Major KV 450
GRZEGORZ NIEMCZUK - 21 year old student of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice will present Mozart's Piano Concerto in C Major KV 503
On Saturday, December 2nd, two pianists will perform:
PIOTR RÓŻAŃSKI (born in 1989) - student of the F. Chopin School of Music in Katowice will play Mozart's Piano Concerto in c minor KV 491
ŁUKASZ TREPCZYŃSKI 21-year old student of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice will end the finals with Mozart's Piano Concerto in B flat Major KV 595
The finalists will perform accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra of the F. Chopin Academy of Music under the baton of Monika Wolińska.
