Description
National Polish Piano Competitions For Frederick Chopin Artistic Scholarships (since 1998 called National Polish Frederick Chopin Piano Competitions) have been organized by Frederick Chopin Society in Warsaw since 1968 at the initiative of Victor Weinbaum, director of TiFC at that time.

The purpose of the Competition includes the promotion of young pianists. Apart from a possibility to participate in concerts organized by Fryderyk Chopin Society, the winners receive a material assistance, so important in the beginnings of their artistic careers.

The competition programme is different in individual years. Frederick Chopin's compositions are its fixed element.
