Program Russian-born, winner of many prestigious competitions at an early age, and a 2003 graduate of the highly-esteemed Curtis Institute, Ms. Anastasia Solomatina returns from her study in Russia to perform a fascinating program of Chopin, Debussy, and Scriabin.
Since moving to Seattle in 1994 she has performed as a soloist with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, and the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra to rave reviews. A gold medalist at the Seattle Young Artists Festival, she has gone on to win the Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey International Competition and to study with Peter Serkin, Eleanor Sokoloff, and Murray Perahia.
The recital will be held in Illsley Ball Nordstrom Hall.
